The Gulf Stream, part of the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation, has not slowed down!
I think this is officially as close as Anthony has ever come to a retraction.

New paper (by out in Nature Geoscience on the flood from Lake Agassiz at the beginning of the Younger Dryas which is thought to have slowed down the AMO and plunged Europe into cold.
It seems one requires a deluge. The IPCC are not expecting a deluge of freshwater into the N. Atlantic, rather a steady flow.
