“A Year After Climategate, The Corruption Of Science Persists“. Here’s a surprisingly fresh insight (not). Anthony Watts copy-and-pastes the first few paragraphs of a blog article from the denialist “Global Warming Policy Foundation” website about Climategate. You remember the fabricated denialist scandal that has been repeatedly debunked, don’t you?
Benny Peiser solemnly reports that a year after Climategate “science” is still “corrupt”.
He mentions “pal review”, “alarmist propaganda”, “Soviet Union”, and “the basic science is nonexistent”. Get the picture?
Why do I keep imagining a bunch of chickens running around with their heads cut off? Lots of activity, but no progress. And yet somehow there’s still a lot of squawking.
Ah, Benny Pieser – a poor sad character who put both his feet in his mouth way back in 2004, when he took on and lost to one Naomi Oreskes, about her paper or essay “Beyond the Ivory Tower: The Scientific Consensus on Climate Change”. His concepts and logic in trying to destroy that paper, were so bent, convoluted and twisted, it even failed “occams razor test”.
I may remember incorrectly, but didn’t Pieser finally withdraw his accusation/paper against Oreskes? Apparently the evidence was so overwhelming even he had to admit it. Maybe someone can try and pin him down as to which “basic science” is non-existent – be fun to see him try and claim that the basic physics and chemistry found in first year and high school textbooks is non-existent.
