Apparently they’re not moving fast enough for him and their ice measurements haven’t been scientifically random enough. Maybe Anthony will show us how a plump, but red-blooded, San Diegan does it?

Of course Anthony knows that they are traveling against the movement of the ice and thus their progress is pretty much one step forward, one step back. This has been a reality for every Arctic journey heading north from the Canadian Arctic Islands for the last hundred years. Some years surface expeditions actually lose ground! But that doesn’t suit his condescending intentions, does it?

Here’s an example of what tickles Anthony’s funny-bone: “Dr. Pachauri spoke briefly to other reporters before posing for more photographs, and was then whisked off in his motorcade to a special meeting of the Railway Engineers Society of India, where he’s to be given a lifetime service award.”

How will he react when he discovers Dramatic Prairie Dog? Or Star Wars Kid? Or LOLcats?

“Scandal brewing in the Euro carbon credits market“. If there’s one thing you can count on, it’s greedy people gaming any system for personal profit at the expense of others. Damn those ‘capitalists’! It looks like individual carbon permits are sometimes being sold to more than one buyer. Prices and volumes have plummeted in the aftermath.

This is standard financial fraud, but to Anthony it means that the carbon credit system is a failure. He also doesn’t like three of the 18 members of the Chicago Climate Exchange.

Funny how we never read things like “IPCC Chairman receives standing ovation at conference” on Anthony’s blog. I sure it happens, but… it never seems to make the editorial cut.

“McIntyre accused by University of Queensland Prof of CRU break in“. Anthony Watt’s favorite Aussie crank ‘journalist’ Andrew Bolt tries to throw the “smear” accusation back at political scientist John Quiggin, who dares to complain that “Scientists have been constrained in fighting back by the fact that they are ethically constrained to be honest, whereas their opponents lie without any compunction.”

Prof. Quiggin accuses Steven McIntyre of orchestrating the Climategate leak. Where’s the evidence, cries Andrew Bolt. Anthony joins in with some practical ethics – “Somebody needs to educate Quiggin on the CRU ftp security blunder that was “the mole”. Anthony, even if your description of the ‘method of acquisition’ is correct it is still theft to take a wallet from an unlocked car.

“The Final Straw“. “Charles the moderator” posts his roommate Steven Mosher’s article further quote-mining Dr. Phil Jones’ stolen e-mail and speculating about Dr. Jones’ motives.

Shockingly, after repeatedly telling various unqualified denialist pests where to get the temperature record data he uses, Dr. Jones eventually stops responding when they use it to launch irrelevant criticisms and starts treating them as… unqualified denialist pests. This is, apparently, “the final straw.”

Steven Mosher also self-published an amateur analysis of the stolen CRU e-mails, Climategate: The Crutape letters, shortly after their appearance.

Phil Jones on the hot seat – not sharing data is “standard practice”. Actually Anthony, the Daily Mail reports that Dr. Jones “admitted withholding data about global temperatures but said the information was publicly available from American websites.”

Anthony also lets Steven Mosher weigh in with more ‘he said, she said’ quote mining.

Still no suggestion that his scientific conclusions are in any way incorrect, even after months of stunningly intense denialist assaults.
